Not Just for Tuesdays!

Halifax Taco Week is a city-wide taco-eating phenomenon and fundraiser for Feed Nova Scotia, put on by your friends at The Coast. Participating restaurants are offering a creative taco special for the week, with the price  set at either $5 for affordable dining, or a higher price with the restaurant making a donation to Feed Nova Scotia from every taco special sold. (Yes, it’s just like Halifax Burger Week, which has become the biggest third-party Feed NS fundraiser in the province!) This site and the Taco Week passport guide taco lovers all over the city to new restaurants or old favourites, all in the name of tacos! 2019 is the first year for this promotion and we are sure it’s going to be the taco the town.

The way the community has come together for Halifax Burger Week and Feed Nova Scotia has been amazing. Now let’s keep the ball rolling, right before the holiday season. Every $2 raised through Halifax Taco Week restaurants allows Feed Nova Scotia to distribute 3 meals worth of donated food for Nova Scotians. That’s especially important here, because Nova Scotia has the highest rates of food insecurity of all the provinces in the country, so addressing food insecurity should be a priority for all Nova Scotians.
